Axis drives replacements, Brushless Drives?
If you are having serious axis drive problems, Visimetrics can install either a
new DC amplifier, or an entire DC Brushless axis drive system. Cost is always the
determining factor.
We can install a new DC amplifier or multi axis rack, check-out, clean, service, and
repair your DC motors, and bring back new machine axis reliability.
If there is a motor problem with the machine. If the motor over heats, runs through
brushes, or otherwise is not giving performance, we can size a DC Brushless system for
your machine. The motors are sealed, and have no internal contact points. There is no
maintenance, and they are very reliable. We would make new motor adapter plates, fit the
pulleys or couplings as required, install new cable assemblies for the higher voltage
motors, and install the amplifier system.
Spindle Drive Replacements
DC spindle motors are an expensive repair waiting to happen. The best thing to do with
an old DC system is replace it. New AC motors and AC vector motors are maintenance free,
reliable, and powerful. A typical installation involves removing the old motor, making a
new adapter plate and motor coupling, running new cable, installing the spindle
controller, and connecting the CNC.
